Recall 2021790: model years 2020, 2021
What's wrong: On certain infant car seats, the warning labels on the seat cover or headrest insert may bubble or lift at the edges. If this happens, a child may be able to peel off small pieces of the labels and put them into their mouth. This may also make the warning labels hard to read. Note: This recall only affects Clek Liing and Liingo infant car seats with a carbon (black) cover that were made before February 22, 2021.
The risk: A child that puts a small piece of the label into their mouth could choke.
What to do: Clek will mail a notice to all registered owners and provide you with a new seat cover and headrest insert if the labels are bubbled or peeling. You should contact Clek immediately if the labels on your seat cover or headrest insert are peeling. If you have not registered your car seat, or if you have moved, contact Clek to get a replacement seat cover and headrest insert.
Recall 2021736: model year 2020
What's wrong: On certain infant car seats, a plastic rod located in the center of the canopy (called a canopy stay) could break. If this happens, an infant could put a small piece of broken plastic into their mouth. Note: This notice only affects Clek Liing and Liingo infant car seats made before September 15, 2020.
The risk: A child could choke on a small piece of broken plastic.
What to do: Clek has designed a new canopy stay made of a stronger and more flexible material. Clek will mail a notice to all registered owners and provide you with instructions for how to get a free kit to replace the canopy stay. If you have not registered your car seat, or if you have moved, contact Clek to get a free repair kit. Note: Clek advises that it is safe to use your car seat while waiting to receive a kit to fix this problem.
How do I know if my Clek LIINGO is affected?
Check the label on the side, back or bottom of the seat for the model number and date of manufacture, and compare them with the model years and dates in the official notice.
Is the fix free?
Recall remedies are free from the maker. The official notice lists how to get it, and Recallify can contact the maker for you.
