Is the Clek FOONF car seat recalled?
Yes. Transport Canada has 2 recalls on record for the Clek FOONF car seat. The latest, recall 2025534 from October 7, 2025, covers model years 2022, 2023, 2024: On certain child car seats, the model name is incorrectly written as "FOO" instead of "FOONF".
Recall 2025534: model years 2022, 2023, 2024
What's wrong: On certain child car seats, the model name is incorrectly written as "FOO" instead of "FOONF". Canadian regulations require the model name to be listed on the product label and registration card. Safety Risk: This small error does not affect safety. Corrective Action: This is not a recall. Owners can continue to use their seat. Clek will make changes to update future product labels and registration cards with the correct model name.
Recall 2021732: model years 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021
What's wrong: On certain child car seats, a child could place their fingers through the crotch buckle opening and pick at the foam seat cushion. After repeated picking, a child may be able to remove small pieces of expanded polypropylene (EPP) foam and put the small pieces into their mouth, nose, or ear. Note: This notice only affects Clek Foonf and Fllo convertible car seats made before May 21, 2021. Safety Risk: A child could choke on a small piece of foam that is removed from the seat. The seat foam is non-toxic and will not make a child sick if they eat it. Corrective Actions: Clek has designed a plastic insert to cover the foam around the crotch buckle opening. Clek will mail a notice to all registered owners and provide you with instructions for how to get a free kit to fix this issue. If you have not registered your car seat, or if you have moved, contact Clek to get a free remedy kit. Note: Clek advises that it is safe to use your car seat while waiting to receive a kit to fix the issue. How do I know if my Clek FOONF is affected?

Is the fix free?
