Recall 2012384: model years 2009, 2010, 2011
What's wrong: Certain infant car seats may not comply with the Motor Vehicle Restraint Systems and Booster Seats Safety Regulations and Canada Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 213.1 - Infant Restraint Systems. The minimum recommended infant height is not indicated on the labels affixed to the seat, the instruction manual and the labels affixed to the seat contain various translation errors and omissions, and certain label warnings and instructions may not be visible while the seat is in use. Correction: A production change has been undertaken to remedy these technical non-compliance conditions. No corrective recall action is required as the technical non-compliance conditions are deemed to be non-safety related.
Recall 2010374: model years 2009, 2010
What's wrong: On certain infant car seats, the chest clip which positions the harness strap across the infant's shoulders may break when the clip is engaged as the infant is secured into the car seat. The sharp edges of the broken chest clip creates a risk of injury to the child / care giver and also creates a small parts hazard. Correction: Britax will provide the remedy kits and a replacement chest clip to registered owners.
